Today at class we looked at our homework and it was very interesting to see the different approaches that people did to express the experience they had in the game. Also, we watched interesting videos. We watched one about the Eames brothers. They do a lot of stuff, they film movies, design furniture etc. I like this phrase that I got from the video “Design is a life skill not a professional skill”. The second video was called 2 by 4 and was a bout graphic design. Also, talked about how technology works with design. I like something that Jimmy said become experts with your tools. If you are struggling with your tools you won’t be able to create a great design. The next video was about Elizabeth Ghilbert and it was called a new way to think about creativity. She talked about creativity and how before the Greeks and Romans thought that creativity was given to them by a divine force. She thinks that creativity are in human in begins. She made an interesting point when you are doing something sometimes you don’t know what to do so the best thing to do is Don’t be afraid just do your job and keeping showing up don’t give up. The last video was about Tony Robbins one question that he asked that caught my attention was why you don’t achieve something? Don’t have money, time, technology, or missing resources. All of these are excuses and he said that what it really you need is to have decision to accomplish your goal. “Give you all don’t stop”.

Week 5 Monday's class
Today was such a fun day because we played games. Everyone brought a game to class and everyone picked the game they wanted to play and started playing. I decided to play Loteria with some of my classmates. Each of us had a card with different pictures and someone yelled the names of the cards and the goal of the game was to fill the entire card and yelled Loteria. Then, we played Dominoes and we made up our own rules about how to play Mexican Train. Basically, in the middle you put the dominoes that have the highest number and from there you match the numbers and we started putting dominoes in to other competent lines until we don’t have any dominoes and made a train Then, we played Loteria with our classmates that were next to us. We played 4 in a row Loteria, Dominoes train and Double cards Loteria. I think today was a fun day because we had the opportunity to share with our classmates and known them a little bit better. Overall, we had a blast!!!!

week 4 Wednesday's class
Today, in class we watched two films one was called Powers of Ten it was about relative size things, distance from earth to the universe and how big and small things are. First, it stared in this scene about a picnic then it started zooming out and then you start seeing the city it becoming smaller, then you saw the clouds, the earth, the planets, the stars, galaxies etc…Then, it started zooming in into a man’s hand and you start seeing the surface of the hand, skin layers, red blood cells, white cells, DNA, modules, and, nucleus. It was an interesting film because it showed the earth, the space, the city from an aerial perspective. Also, it showed al the layers in our hands. Before, the second film started Jimmy asked us why man creates. Man creates to use things in daily life, utility, for pleasure, self-expression, to escape, to explore, to communicate etc…I never thought about that question before and make me think about it. I also thought that we don’t pay too much attention of asking why things are the way they are. The second film was called why man creates? It started as a series of steps from 1 to 7.1.The edifice: it was about what people have invented such the train, light, music, dynamite.2: Fooling around: playing, having fun starting doodling.3: The process: Coming with ideas of nowhere maybe by accident, start developing ideas and convert them into something.4.The Judgment: Society making contribution.5: A parable and 6.A digression.7.The search: work in progress on new ideas. Do research to come up with an idea that gives possible results. Over all, it was a learning experience for all of us. After, we did our story telling with our pictures and it was fun seeing what people come up with. Today it was fun and also I got a little bit scared when jimmy talked about expressing our age with Binary numbers because I’m not good at math at all. In fact, I didn’t know what Binary numbers were.

Week 4 Monday's class
Today was like last class we sat down in groups and share our thoughts about our pictures and we had the opportunity to listen to other people. Well in my group there was a picture of a dog and the phrase True love and the response that we got was ohh cute! Also, there was this picture about a hand with paint and the phrase Biblical creation and when I saw this picture I thought god’s hand that created everything Also a picture of a cute baby ,a skinny cow and the phrase was Got Milk?.I thought was very funny when he showed the image of the skinny cow with the phrase Got Milk? Because it made me think about how skinny cows could possibly have milk. After, we did an exercise about telling a story with objects. We gathered around in groups and we started getting objects and developing a story. It was hard coming with a story because we had to incorporate the object in the story. Well in the end there were good stories and bad ones. The one I remembered was the one that cell phones came to life and I guess this girl answered her phone and her cell phone was the one talking. Finally, we got homework; we have to get 3 pictures and tell story. Well, I hope we do a great job telling our story.

Week 3 Wednesday's class
In today’s class we do a big group and all of us had a chance to talk about our adjectives. I remembered the picture of the lips and this phrase Lip injection. After, hearing this Mr. Moss asked to the class about another phrase for this picture someone said Give grandma a big kiss and I thought it was very funny. I think all of us had a hard time coming with adjectives and phrases. I had a hard time coming with adjectives and phases that change the meaning of the picture because is not so much easy to think of something different, but a t the same time that caught the attention of people. After, we saw a movie about Sir Ken Robinson and talked about finding your element. What is finding your element? Finding your element is finding your personal fulfillment .To find your element first you need to find your talent, and you have a natural capacity of doing it. Also, it has to be your passion something you enjoy doing it that is the key of success. When you have not found your element you don’t enjoy the things you do. Being good at something is not a good reason to do it. Wealth is not a guarantee of fulfillment. “Finding your passion can change everything”. Finally, I post this pictures that are related with today’s discussion.

Week 3 Monday's class
In today’s class we did an exercise we picked one simple photo and we had to change the meaning. It was a difficult exercise because we had trouble coming up with adjectives and phrases. We team up and start coming with ideas. There were some teams that made us laugh. I remembered this picture it was a tree root that look like a hand and there was this phrase “Waiting for prince charming” .Also this picture about a polar bear that said “Got Lasik”. At the end we came up with our adjectives and phrase some were good and some not too good. I learned that is easy to come up with a lot of ideas, but not so easy to come up with a great idea that works. Also we learned to expand more our vocabulary using more adjectives to explain our ideas. For example, if you have an idea and it’s really good but if you can’t explain it, it’s like if you don’t have anything.
Adjectives

Exultant:very happy, especially at someone elses's defeat or failure.

Week 2 Wednesday's class
In Today’s class we watched a movie and it was called Akira Kurosawa Dreams. It was a series of dreams and all were very interesting. The first one was called Foxes weeding; I really don’t get this dream at all. It was about this little boy watching those people playing instruments and then they saw him and he ran out. Then he came back to his house and his mother said to him that he has to kill himself and his mom said to him to ask for forgiveness. The little boy asked her where I can find them and she said under the rainbow and after he saw the rainbow. This dream was confusing at least for me. Well I really liked this dream because it was a utopian dream. All started when he brings something to his sister and he asked her that he saw 6 girls and there only five. Then he saw this girl and he followed her to this amazing place. Then this people appeared to him and he told them that he cried when the trees were cut off. Then by a miracle those peaches trees appear and the little boy was happy. There were some interesting dreams that have strong messages. There was the dream of the tunnel and this dream portray suffering because a lot of soldiers died because of war and this scene where this soldier said to the commander that he is parents were waiting for him. This dream showed how many soldiers died because of war and how many parents still waiting for their sons and daughters to come home. Another dream was the one called Mount Fuji in Red this dream had a powerful message. Basically what this dream tries to communicate is that many people are dying because Radio activity. Also, it showed what radio activity causes in people like, cancer and not be able to reproduce. Another dream a found quite interesting was the weeping Demon talked about how missiles and bombs destroy the earth ceaseless. Also, the big Dandelions symbolize mutations and how many animals, flowers, and died because of the missiles and bombs. The last dream was Villages of the watermills expressed about how we don’t appreciate nature and we are losing it. How we change firewood for fuel. Also how man invents things that make people unhappy. Overall it was a succinct movie and I learn a lot.

Week 2 Monday's class
In Today’s class we changed places accordant by our month of birth. This exercise was to help each other to get organize .It was an interesting exercise because we found people from our same month of birth. I noticed that there were more people born in October and in May. Also, There were few people born in December was and in November. In today’s lecture we talked about Mind Mapping /Idea Mapping. Idea Mapping we learned that is a way of brain storming and it’s a graphing way of exploring ideas. In brain storming you let your ideas flow and never analyze anything. An example that Mr. Moss gave us about brainstorming was when picking baby names just let names come out. Brain storming vs. Being Analytical? In brainstorming you get your ideas out there freely as in being analytical you start evaluating critically whether you like it or not. What Map mapping helps you on? Well I learn that it helps you to get fresh ideas and not worry about analyzing. How one opens one mind? Well, first you have to be interest it and have to appeal to you. What are the barriers to an open mind? Well, some barriers could be fear, judgments, bad experiences etc…How to come with ideas? Give yourself time and space. Also try to do a Mind Mapping to come with ideas. A Mind Mapping is composing of things like incubation that’s your brainstorming; Exploration that’s when you try your ideas. Analyze that’s when you review; draw, or sketch. Finally, you Act make a decision. Things that can help you organize ideas are key words, drawings, colors, images, symbols etc… Finally we make a Mind Mapping and it was quite interesting because we let our ideas flow and also we have an opportunity to see what other people’s ideas were.
Here I put two quotes that were related with today’s topic. I hope you like them!!!
